TCORS has extensive experience before the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control in representing companies in a wide variety of regulatory proceedings. TCORS continuously monitors regulatory proceedings before the DPUC in the areas of telecommunications, cable television, and other industries. Over a dozen other competitive local exchange companies, including fiber providers, resellers, and providers of specialized services, have also retained TCORS to represent them in obtaining certification from the DPUC or other regulatory objectives. Additionally, TCORS has represented several cable television companies before the DPUC in various proceedings. The following are four examples of the more than 100 DPUC dockets which TCORS has participated in with great success over the years:

  • TCORS successfully represented a major Connecticut competitive telecommunications provider in obtaining orders from the DPUC requiring Connecticut utility pole owners to improve their licensing processes for access to poles. (DPUC Docket No. 07-02-03).
  • TCORS represented a national telecommunications company in the contested arbitration of an interconnection agreement with the incumbent local exchange carrier.
  • TCORS represented a national telecommunications company in settling without penalty an enforcement action initiated by the Department’s staff regarding operator services issues. (DPUC Docket No. 04-08-02).
  • TCORS represented a cable television company in a highly contested franchise renewal proceeding which required more than two years of public hearings, briefs, and technical examinations. (DPUC Docket No. 96-03-43).
