Distinctions
During his time at Roger Williams University School of Law, James served as a Law Fellow in the Rhode Island Sea Grant Law Fellow Program, as part of the Marine Affairs Institute. As a Law Fellow, James was responsible for researching and presenting his findings on environmental and marine law issues to the non-profits and government agencies who commissioned his work. Researched topics include: direct to consumer sale of finfish in Alaska, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island; and dam owner liability in Rhode Island. As a result of the work done by Rhode Island Sea Grant during James’s fellowship, Rhode Island fishers can now sell their catch directly to consumers.
