Peter Pescosolido has joined the staff at TCORS as a Senior Regulatory Analyst following over 33 years with the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and its predecessor agencies.
During his tenure at the PURA, Mr. Pescosolido advised the Commissioners on numerous technical and regulatory issues involving Connecticut’s public service companies. He also supervised and managed numerous PURA dockets, including those that transitioned Connecticut’s telecommunications industry from a monopoly supplier market to one that was competitive and accessible by multiple providers with advanced services.
“Peter’s knowledge and reputation for excellent work is well known throughout the telecommunication industry, said Senior Partner Glenn Carberry. “The representation of technology companies requires a detailed understanding of technical issues and policy matters, and Peter’s experience strengthens our ability to handle a wide range of matters for leading telecommunication companies and small cell operations,” added Carberry.
Mr. Pescosolido’s Background
In addition to working for the PURA, Mr. Pescosolido has served on a number of state and federal committees providing technical support and advice to commissioners in Connecticut and elsewhere on various telecommunications company matters. Most notably, Mr. Pescosolido was the Chairman of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Staff Subcommittee on Telecommunications.
He participated on the Federal/State Joint Board on Universal Service, the Federal/State Joint Board on Jurisdictional Separations and the FCC’s North American Numbering Council. Prior to his retirement from PURA, Mr. Pescosolido managed PURA’s technical and administrative staff, including their training and mentoring.
Mr. Pescosolido received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University. While serving in the United States Air Force, he earned a master’s degree in Safety from Central Missouri State University.
